Principal's Message
I want to start thanking everyone in the Le Roy community for welcoming me into the school and community. The Le Roy Central School District has a proud history of student achievement and excellence in the clubs, sports, and activities that are offered. I am looking forward to working with you to continue building a school community where students feel connected and inspired to learn and grow every day.
In the short time I have been in Le Roy, I’ve been so impressed by the amount of pride that is taken in making connections with staff and families, and in the performance and appearance of our school. I’m so excited to be a part of this community and I look forward to all the great work we are going to accomplish together and all the great memories we are going to make!
I would also like to take this moment to share with you some information about myself, as I join the Oatkan Knight team. I’m a graduate of Greece Athena High School, where I participated in many clubs and activities, specifically playing on the school ice hockey and baseball teams. Upon graduation, I attended SUNY Geneseo where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Adolescent Education. I then completed a Master’s Degree program in Special Education at Roberts Wesleyan College, and a Doctorate Degree program in Education Leadership at the University of Rochester.
I have previously taught as a social studies and special education teacher, and I have worked as an assistant principal in the Spencerport Central School District. I have also previously served in many roles in the school districts I worked for, including: as a bus driver, a chaperone, a coach, and a class advisor. My participation in these roles is a reflection of the passion I have for working in a school community, and I look forward to learning about the different ways I can connect and serve the Le Roy school community as well.
I strongly believe that academic development and character education are the two main pillars in education that are needed to help to develop the whole student. My mission as your principal is to learn about you, the school, and the community as we look to build on areas of success and continue to develop areas where there are opportunities for growth.
